Since 1989, STEINADLER VERLAG Publishing House has published a number of textbooks and grammar series for schools teaching German as a Foreign Language. Since 2003 our publishing house has also become exclusively specialized in creating books and educational media for German as a Foreign Language for children starting from 7 years of age and continuing up to the B1 language level.

Our Philosophy
We put emphasis on the fun of learning German. A playful experience with language motivates learning and makes children delight in German learning, improves their feel of the language, and stimulates their senses. As a result, a stress-free approach is enabled.
All our educational media are adjusted to the psychological level of development of the children. Every age is accompanied by certain methods that are implemented in the books. The topics are inspired by the experiences of the everyday life of children and should encourage the development of personality, promote a critical way of thinking, foster the sense of community and activate a positive attitude towards life. The gradual psychological level of development is not only reflected in the topics, but also in the illustrations and tasks.
As there is no second chance for the formation of first impressions, all the units of our books start with a song that suits the unit topic. Music is highly motivating; it is the perfect medium for the introduction of topics, in order to get the learners in the right mood and raise their awareness for each new topic. Moreover, music appeals to the emotional self of the students and therefore allows a long-ranging embedding of knowledge. Furthermore, music helps to overcome the fear towards something new (in our case German language and new topics). Finally, the lyrics of the songs help to foster the oral fluency and boost correct pronunciation.
